These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of maevonhome.com ("the Site") and any purchase you make through it.

By browsing the Site, creating an account, or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

Please read them carefully. They contain important information about your rights, our obligations, and the limits of our liability.

MaeVon Home & Collection is the trading name of MaeVon, a single member limited liability company registered in the State of Oregon, United States.

We operate the online store at maevonhome.com, selling home décor and textiles including rugs, curtains, bedding, wall décor, mirrors and bathroom products.

  1. Eligibility

2.1 Age You must be at least 18 years old, or have the express consent of a parent or legal guardian, to place an order. By placing an order you confirm that you are legally capable of entering into a binding contract.

2.2 Accuracy of information You confirm that all information you provide name, addresses, contact details and payment information is accurate, current and complete, and that you are authorised to use the payment method provided.

2.3 Account responsibility If you create an account, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at help@maevonhome.com if you suspect unauthorised access.

You agree not to:

  • Use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law
  • Infringe our intellectual property rights or those of any third party
  • Harass, abuse, insult, harm, defame, slander, disparage, intimidate or discriminate against any person
  • Submit false, misleading or fraudulent information

Technical conduct

  • Upload or transmit viruses, malware or any malicious code
  • Scrape, spider, crawl or use automated systems to access or copy the Site
  • Interfere with, disable or circumvent any security feature of the Site
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Site, its servers, or connected systems
  • Overload or impair the operation of the Site
  • Reverse engineer any part of the Site

Commercial conduct

  • Collect or track the personal information of other users
  • Use the Site to send unsolicited commercial communications
  • Resell our products without written authorisation
  • Use our content for any commercial purpose without permission

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access, cancel your orders, and refuse future service for any breach of this section.

  1. Products and Descriptions

4.1 Our commitment We work hard to describe products accurately, including exact dimensions, fibre composition, care instructions, and honest notes on limitations. Where a product carries a genuine third-party certification, we name the specific standard.

4.2 Colour representation Screens render colour differently. Warm room lighting versus cool daylight also changes how a fabric reads. We cannot guarantee that colours displayed on your device accurately reflect the physical product. We flag this on every product page. Colour variation from a product photograph is not a defect.

4.3 Natural and handmade variation Many of our products vary naturally between pieces:

  • Handmade and hand-forged items — knot spacing, finish, form and dimensions differ between pieces
  • Distressed and vintage-pattern designs — pattern placement varies by design
  • Woven and printed textiles — pattern positioning varies as fabric is cut from a continuous run
  • Natural materials — stone, wood grain and natural fibres vary inherently

This variation is inherent to the products and is not a defect. We describe it on the relevant product pages.

4.4 Measurement tolerance Textile products may vary by up to 1–2 inches (2–4cm) from stated dimensions, due to manual measurement and the nature of fabric. This is standard across the industry.

4.5 Availability All products are subject to availability. We reserve the right to:

  • Limit the quantity of any product sold to a single customer
  • Discontinue any product at any time
  • Refuse any order, in whole or in part

Listing a product does not guarantee its availability.

4.6 Product images Product images are supplied by manufacturers and suppliers, and are provided for illustration. Styling props shown in images furniture, plants, accessories are not included unless expressly stated in the description.

  1. Pricing

5.1 Currency and inclusions All prices are displayed in US Dollars (USD) and include shipping to addresses within the continental United States. Sales tax, where applicable, is calculated and displayed at checkout.

5.2 Price changes We reserve the right to change prices at any time without notice. Price changes do not affect orders that have already been confirmed and paid for.

5.3 Pricing errors Despite our efforts, a product may occasionally be listed at an incorrect price due to a typographical error, system fault, or incorrect supplier data. Where a product is listed at an obviously incorrect price, we reserve the right to cancel the order and issue a full refund even after the order has been confirmed and payment has been taken. We will contact you before cancelling and offer you the opportunity to purchase at the correct price.

5.4 Promotions Promotional codes and discounts:

  • Are valid only for the period stated
  • Cannot be combined unless expressly stated
  • Have no cash value
  • May be withdrawn at any time
  • Cannot be applied retrospectively to completed orders

We reserve the right to cancel orders where a promotional code has been used fraudulently or in breach of its terms.

  1. Orders and Acceptance

6.1 Your order is an offer Placing an order constitutes an offer to purchase. It does not create a binding contract. Our order confirmation email acknowledges receipt of your order but does not constitute acceptance.

6.2 When a contract is formed A binding contract is formed when we dispatch your order and send you a shipping confirmation.

6.3 Our right to refuse We may refuse, limit or cancel any order at our discretion, including where:

  • The product is out of stock or unavailable
  • There is an error in the price or product description
  • We suspect fraudulent or unauthorised activity
  • The shipping address is outside our service area
  • We are unable to verify your payment or billing information
  • The order appears to be for commercial resale
  • The order breaches these Terms

If we cancel an order after payment has been taken, you will receive a full refund to your original payment method.

  1. Payment

7.1 When payment is taken Payment is taken in full at the time your order is placed.

7.2 Accepted methods We accept the payment methods displayed at checkout. Payment processing is handled by third-party providers subject to their own terms.

7.3 Your warranty By providing payment information you warrant that you are authorised to use that payment method and that the details provided are accurate and complete.

7.4 Failed payments If a payment fails or is reversed after dispatch, we reserve the right to recover the amount owed, including reasonable recovery costs.

7.5 Chargebacks If you have a problem with an order, please contact us first at help@maevonhome.com. We resolve the overwhelming majority of issues quickly and in the customer's favour. Filing a chargeback without first contacting us may result in your account being suspended and future orders refused.

  1. Shipping and Delivery

Governed by our Shipping Policy, which forms part of these Terms and is incorporated by reference.

8.1 Estimates, not guarantees Delivery timeframes are honest estimates based on typical transit, not guarantees. We are not liable for delays caused by:

  • Carrier delays or network disruption
  • Customs processing
  • Weather events or natural disasters
  • Industrial action
  • Public health events
  • Incorrect or incomplete addresses provided by you
  • Any other circumstance beyond our reasonable control

8.2 Risk and title Risk of loss and damage passes to you on delivery. Title to the goods passes to you when we receive payment in full.

8.3 Address accuracy We ship to the address you provide. Orders lost due to an incorrect or incomplete address are not eligible for refund or replacement.

Governed by our Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms and is incorporated by reference.

In summary: 30 days from delivery, items unused and in original packaging, return shipping at your cost unless the item is faulty, damaged or incorrect.

All returns must be authorised before being sent. Email us for a return authorisation and address. Returns sent without authorisation cannot be processed.

Nothing in our Refund Policy affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

  1. Intellectual Property

10.1 Our content All content on the Site including text, product descriptions, photographs, graphics, illustrations, logos, button icons, page layout, design elements, and the compilation of all content is the property of MaeVon Home & Collection or its licensors and is protected by United States and international copyright, trademark and other intellectual property laws.

10.2 What you may not do You may not reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell, distribute, modify, republish, create derivative works from, or commercially exploit any part of the Site or its content without our prior written permission. This specifically includes scraping product descriptions or images for use on another store.

10.3 Manufacturer content Product images and certain specifications are supplied by manufacturers and remain their property. Their use here does not transfer any rights to you.

10.4 Third-party trademarks Product and brand names mentioned on the Site including supplier and manufacturer brands are the trademarks of their respective owners. Their use here is for identification only and does not imply endorsement or affiliation.

10.5 Limited licence to you We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Site for personal, non-commercial purposes only.

  1. User Submissions

11.1 What this covers Reviews, comments, photographs, feedback, suggestions, ideas and any other material you send us or post on the Site.

11.2 Licence you grant us By submitting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide licence to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate and distribute that content in any medium, including for marketing purposes.

11.3 Your warranties You warrant that your submission:

  • Is your own original work, or you have the right to submit it
  • Does not infringe any third party's copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights
  • Does not contain unlawful, defamatory, obscene, abusive or otherwise objectionable material
  • Does not contain viruses or malicious code
  • Is not misleading, and does not misrepresent your experience with a product

11.4 Reviews Reviews must reflect your genuine, honest experience with a product you have actually purchased. We do not pay for reviews, offer incentives in exchange for positive reviews, or publish fabricated reviews. We reserve the right to remove reviews that are abusive, off-topic, contain personal information, or that we reasonably believe to be fraudulent.

11.5 No obligation We are under no obligation to publish, maintain or respond to any submission, and may remove content at our discretion without notice.

  1. Product Use and Safety

Please follow the care and installation instructions supplied with each product.

12.1 Rugs, runners and mats Non-slip backings reduce but do not eliminate movement. Use a rug pad or gripper tape on hard floors, particularly with runners in hallways and near stairs. Rugs can present a trip hazard. Take normal care, ensure edges lie flat, and address curling or rucking promptly. Backing performance is reduced on carpet, textured surfaces and dusty floors.

12.2 Bathroom products Bath mats aid comfort and dryness. They do not eliminate the risk of slipping on wet surfaces. Take normal care on wet floors. Ensure mats are placed on clean, dry surfaces for the backing to grip properly.

12.3 Wall-mounted items Mirrors, wall art, shelving and clocks must be mounted using fixings appropriate to your wall type and rated well above the item's weight. Anchor into studs where possible for heavier items. Get assistance for large or awkward pieces. We are not liable for property damage or personal injury resulting from improper installation, inadequate fixings, or failure to follow mounting guidance.

12.4 Furniture and assembly Assemble strictly according to the supplied instructions. Check and retighten fixings periodically, as furniture loosens with use. Do not exceed stated weight capacities.

12.5 Glass and mirrors Handle with care. Inspect for damage before installation. Do not install cracked or chipped glass items contact us for a replacement instead.

12.6 Children and pets Keep packaging materials, plastic wrap and small components away from children and animals. Ensure wall-mounted and freestanding items are secured where children are present.

12.7 Fire safety Keep textiles away from open flames, heaters and other ignition sources. Our products are decorative textiles and are not certified as flame-retardant unless expressly stated.

  1. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Site and its content are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that:

  • The Site will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free
  • Results obtained from using the Site will be accurate or reliable
  • Any errors in the Site will be corrected
  • The Site is free of viruses or harmful components

Nothing in this section affects any statutory rights you have as a consumer that cannot be excluded or limited by law.

  1. Limitation of Liability

14.1 Cap on liability To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability for any claim arising from a product or your use of the Site is limited to the amount you paid for the relevant product.

14.2 Excluded damages We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or anticipated savings whether based in contract, tort, negligence, strict liability or otherwise, and even if we have been advised of the possibility.

14.3 What we do not limit Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for:

  • Death or personal injury caused by our negligence
  • Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
  • Any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under Oregon or federal law

14.4 Jurisdictional note Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages. In those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

  1. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless MaeVon Home & Collection, its owners, officers, employees, agents, suppliers and partners from any claim, demand, loss, liability or expense including reasonable legal fees arising from:

  • Your breach of these Terms
  • Your violation of any law or regulation
  • Your violation of any third-party right, including intellectual property or privacy rights
  • Any content you submit to the Site
  • Your misuse of any product
  1. Accuracy of Information

We endeavour to keep the Site accurate, complete and current, but we do not warrant that it is free from errors, omissions or outdated information.

Material on the Site is provided for general information only and should not be relied upon as the sole basis for making decisions.

We reserve the right to modify the contents of the Site at any time. We are under no obligation to update any information, and no update date should be taken to mean all information has been revised.

  1. Third-Party Links and Services

The Site may contain links to third-party websites, services or resources.

We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, availability, products, services or practices of any third party. Inclusion of a link does not imply endorsement.

Any transaction or interaction with a third party is solely between you and that third party. Please review their terms and policies before engaging with them.

  1. Termination

18.1 By you You may stop using the Site at any time. If you have an account, you may request its closure by emailing help@maevonhome.com.

18.2 By us We may suspend or terminate your access to the Site, cancel pending orders, and refuse future service at any time, without notice, for breach of these Terms or for any conduct we reasonably believe to be harmful to us, our customers or third parties.

18.3 Effect of termination Termination does not affect:

  • Orders already dispatched
  • Your obligation to pay for goods received
  • Any provision of these Terms intended to survive termination, including sections on intellectual property, limitation of liability, indemnification and governing law
  1. Force Majeure

We are not liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations where caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including:

  • Natural disasters, extreme weather, fire and flood
  • War, terrorism, civil unrest
  • Epidemics and pandemics
  • Government action, restrictions, embargoes or sanctions
  • Industrial action or labour disputes
  • Failure of utilities, telecommunications or internet infrastructure
  • Carrier network failures
  • Supplier insolvency or manufacturing shutdown

If such an event continues for more than 30 days, either party may cancel the affected order for a full refund.

  1. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found by a court to be unlawful, void or unenforceable, that provision will be severed and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

  1. Waiver

Our failure to exercise or enforce any right or provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that right or provision. Any waiver must be in writing and signed by an authorised representative of MaeVon.

  1. Assignment

You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign or transfer our rights and obligations without restriction, including in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.

  1. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Refund Policy, Shipping Policy and Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and MaeVon Home & Collection and supersede any prior agreements, communications or proposals.

Any ambiguity in the interpretation of these Terms will not be construed against the drafting party.

  1. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. The version posted on this page is always the current version, and the "last updated" date reflects the most recent revision.

It is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Changes do not apply retrospectively to orders already placed.

  1. Governing Law and Disputes

25.1 Governing law These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States and the State of Oregon, without regard to conflict of law principles.

25.2 Informal resolution first Before initiating any formal proceedings, please contact us at help@maevonhome.com. Most disputes are resolved quickly and informally, and we would genuinely rather fix a problem than argue about it. We ask that you give us 30 days to resolve a dispute informally before pursuing formal action.

25.3 Jurisdiction Any dispute not resolved informally will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in the State of Oregon, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
